Next week is my 6 month birthday- can you believe it! Mommy can't believe how big I'm getting. I can now roll over really good. I only roll from my front to my back right now, but it keeps me from doing tummy time, which I hate. I also figured out that I have not one, but two feet! I haven't figured out how to put them into my mouth yet, but I like just grabbing them and taking my socks off. It frustrates Mommy to have to put my socks on all the time, but I think it's fun.
Guess what! I got my first haircut today. Mommy and Daddy finally decided to get my hair trimmed so that it was all nice and even in the back. I guess it was time, I am almost three you know. Mommy took me to Cookie Cutters- a place just for kids. They had a bunch of toys to play with, and I got to pick out a movie to watch while I got my hair cut. I picked Elmo- Elmo's my favorite. I got to sit on a horse chair and I did okay for a minute. Once the stylist got my hair wet and started combing my hair I freaked! I cried the whole time, and just wanted to be held by Mommy. Luckily for me, it was all over in about 5 minutes. Now my hair is beautiful- and all even.
Spring has finally arrived in Indianapolis, and boy is it nice. I finally get to play outside again. Mommy took some pictures of me with my friend Miles. Miles is a little younger then me, so I show him all the fun stuff that there is to play with outside. We had a great time when he came over a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully he can come over again and we can play some more.
Not much else is happening with me. I'm getting a lot bigger and am learning new things everyday. My new favorite saying is "Oh my gosh!"- Mommy isn't sure where I learned this, but she guesses it was daycare. I'm almost the oldest kid at daycare now. Only one boy is older then me, and he and I get in trouble a lot. This summer I will get to go to preschool! I'll have to leave Elizabeth, but I'm sure she will be okay. I hope everyone is having a good spring!
It's been an exciting couple of weeks for me. Not only did I figure out how to roll over, but I found my toes! I haven't figured out how to get them into my mouth yet, but I'm sure I will sooner or later. In other exciting news- I got a new toy. Actually it isn't new, because my sister used it when she was little. But it's new to me. It's called an exersaucer. It has all sorts of fun toys around it and the seat spins so I can get to them all. Mommy was surprised that I liked it- but I love the thing! I get to see everyone and I can keep tabs on Mommy, Daddy and Morgan, all from the comfy seat. The only down side is that Morgan likes to spin me around in the seat. I don't think that's very fun at all.
Other then that, my sister and I are getting ready for spring and summer. We can't wait to be able to go outside and play. Morgan even broke out her sunglasses this weekend in preparation. She thought it would be fun to let me wear them for a little while. They fit pretty good.
It's official- Elizabeth can roll over. She did it once a while ago, but Mommy didn't get to see, so every since Mommy has been trying to get her to do it again. So the other night, Mommy put her on her stomach, and she immediately rolled over. Mommy said it was her way of saying " I don't like to be on my stomach!" She did it again the night after that too. Mommy says that now that Elizabeth can move, she is going to roll away from me when I pick on her. Lucky for me I can run!
As for me, I'm still learning all sorts of new things. My favorite song is "Ittsy, Bitsy Spider" and Mommy and I sing it on the way to daycare almost everyday! I also love to talk on the phone. I like to call Mimi and Papaw and my Grandma in Florida. Sometimes I call them without Mommy and Daddy seeing me use the phone. And the best thing of all- I'm using the potty on a pretty regular basis. I finally figured out that every time I go on the potty I get candy. I figured that was a pretty good deal.
Do they make Rogaine for babies? I think I might need some. I was born with a ton of hair and now I'm losing it! Mommy says that I have the opposite of old man hair. I have plenty on the top, but the sides are getting thin. Actually I'm pretty close to having a mohawk, because I have a long piece in the back. Every day Mom finds more and more little black hairs on me, on my blankets...everywhere. What's a girl to do? Hopefully it stops soon, otherwise I'm going to be bald by the time I'm one. Mommy still says I'm cute, but I'm worried about my beautiful locks. So if anyone sees Rogaine for babies will you let me know?
