I have toes!

It's been an exciting couple of weeks for me. Not only did I figure out how to roll over, but I found my toes! I haven't figured out how to get them into my mouth yet, but I'm sure I will sooner or later. In other exciting news- I got a new toy. Actually it isn't new, because my sister used it when she was little. But it's new to me. It's called an exersaucer. It has all sorts of fun toys around it and the seat spins so I can get to them all. Mommy was surprised that I liked it- but I love the thing! I get to see everyone and I can keep tabs on Mommy, Daddy and Morgan, all from the comfy seat. The only down side is that Morgan likes to spin me around in the seat. I don't think that's very fun at all.

Other then that, my sister and I are getting ready for spring and summer. We can't wait to be able to go outside and play. Morgan even broke out her sunglasses this weekend in preparation. She thought it would be fun to let me wear them for a little while. They fit pretty good.

Shake, Rattle and Roll!

It's official- Elizabeth can roll over. She did it once a while ago, but Mommy didn't get to see, so every since Mommy has been trying to get her to do it again. So the other night, Mommy put her on her stomach, and she immediately rolled over. Mommy said it was her way of saying " I don't like to be on my stomach!" She did it again the night after that too. Mommy says that now that Elizabeth can move, she is going to roll away from me when I pick on her. Lucky for me I can run!

On a different note- Mommy still thinks it's fun to compare pictures of me and Elizabeth. She thinks we still look a lot a like. See for yourself.

Can you tell which one is me, and which one is Elizabeth? Elizabeth is on top, and I'm the one on the bottom. It's kind of freaky isn't it.

As for me, I'm still learning all sorts of new things. My favorite song is "Ittsy, Bitsy Spider" and Mommy and I sing it on the way to daycare almost everyday! I also love to talk on the phone. I like to call Mimi and Papaw and my Grandma in Florida. Sometimes I call them without Mommy and Daddy seeing me use the phone. And the best thing of all- I'm using the potty on a pretty regular basis. I finally figured out that every time I go on the potty I get candy. I figured that was a pretty good deal.

Rogaine for babies???

Do they make Rogaine for babies? I think I might need some. I was born with a ton of hair and now I'm losing it! Mommy says that I have the opposite of old man hair. I have plenty on the top, but the sides are getting thin. Actually I'm pretty close to having a mohawk, because I have a long piece in the back. Every day Mom finds more and more little black hairs on me, on my blankets...everywhere. What's a girl to do? Hopefully it stops soon, otherwise I'm going to be bald by the time I'm one. Mommy still says I'm cute, but I'm worried about my beautiful locks. So if anyone sees Rogaine for babies will you let me know?

Now weighing in.....

Mommy says that I am soooooooo big now! But not nearly as big as my sister. Mommy got us to lay side by side to take a picture. Morgan is much bigger, but I'm gaining on her. Mommy took me to my four month check up this week and even the doctor said I had a growth spurt. I now weigh in at a whopping 15.5 pounds and I'm 23 3/4" tall! That's almost 2 feet! And for all those people that keep making fun of my fat rolls, the doctor said I had all the right kind of fat, and that I looked perfect! She said Mommy was taking good care of me. The doctors did make me incredibly mad though by looking in my ears and then by giving me four shots! That's just not nice to do- what did I ever do to them.

Other then growing I'm doing all the normal baby things. I've started to learn how to roll over. I keep getting hung up on my arms though. But by turning the lower half of my body over I've figured out how to turn around in a circle. I keep Mommy and Daddy on their toes. Because they will put me on my back facing one way, and when they look at me again I've turned 90 degrees! It's pretty fun.

As for my sister, she's busy learning how to use the potty. Mommy says she's tired of changing diapers and since I can't walk, Morgan has to learn. She's doing really good so far. Now that she has figured out that she gets candy whenever she uses the potty, she wants to go all the time. Keep your fingers crossed that she keeps going!

2008- The year of the flu!

For the past couple of weeks our entire house has been sick. It all started with Morgan who spiked a fever late on Sunday afternoon. So Mommy took her to the doctor the next day and they said she was positive for the flu and might have pneumonia! Poor Morgan had to have a chest x-ray. Mommy said all the machines made Morgan look really small. Morgan did end up having pneumonia along with her flu and was down for 4 days. Mommy and Daddy had to watch Curious George about a million times, but said it was okay because it made Morgan feel better.

A couple days after Morgan got sick, Mommy got the flu too! Then a couple of days after that, Daddy was sick. Everyone was worried about poor little me, because if I got the flu it would be bad news. But leave it to me to get my own special sickness. That's right- I got my first ear infection! I had a fever for two days so I made my very own trip to the doctor where they poked and pulled on my ears. So much so that I screamed my head off the entire time I was there.

The good thing about being sick was that Morgan and I each got alone time with Mommy, and we got to watch a lot of movies! Curious George is by far the favorite, but we also watched a lot of Shrek and Shrek 2.

In other exciting news- I get to eat cereal now! So far I like it pretty good. Sometimes more food ends up on my face then in my mouth, but all in all I'm doing pretty good. Morgan always says that I'm eating Cheerios. I'm not sure what Cheerios are, but so far I like rice cereal.

I'm glad that we are all feeling better now. Hopefully we can all stay well for the rest of winter. But Mommy says that's unlikely because Morgan and I spend most of the day at the petri dish they call daycare. It's fun though!

Children's Museum here I come!

The week before Mommy went back to work she took me and Elizabeth to the children's museum. I've been there before, but Mommy says I'm finally at the age where I can enjoy everything. Boy was she right! Lately I've been obsessed with dinosaurs, and Mommy told me that we were going to visit some. On our way there Mommy turned the corner in the car and all of the sudden there were dinosaurs coming out of the building. I was so excited! We started our day at the museum in the Dinosphere where I got to dig for dinosaur bones, and play in a dinosaur nest. I even got to dress up like a dinosaur!

After the dinosaur exhibit we went to Playscape which is designed just for little kids like me. It's full of things we can move and play with. It even has a water table and a sand box. There was so much there for me to play with- and lots of little kids to play with too. After we spent a lot of time in Playscape, Mommy took me and Elizabeth up to ride the carousel. Yep, that's right, they have an actual carousel inside the building! Mommy and Elizabeth rode on one horse, and I got to ride on one all by myself. And since there was no line we got to ride three times in a row. We had a great day and I can't wait to go back again.
