I've been waiting and waiting to have these images and I am so excited to be able to show them off. Our good friend Kate has started her own Photography business and I couldn't wait to sign her up to do a session with the girls. So when we were in Brown County with Kate and her family we decided to take advantage of the time and beautiful setting. A special thanks to Kate for working with the girls and for giving us these digital images. Enjoy!

I apologize for the delay in adding a new post- but hey it's a busy time in the Clark House getting ready for Santa and all. A few weeks ago while Greg was working on our new floors I took the girls to the Children's Museum to burn off some energy. We started in our normal spot- Playscape and rode the carousel and then on our way downstairs we spotted the Winter Wonderland Exhibit. So we made a pitstop. They had all sorts of stuff to play with- ice fishing holes, a castle with a slide and a variety of other things, but they also had SANTA!
Well when we got into the exhibit I noticed Santa was on a break and he was scheduled to be back very soon. So I thought "hey wouldn't it be fun to get a picture of the girls with Santa?", so I decided to wait. While we were standing in line Elizabeth was content in her stroller and Morgan ran back and forth between me and the many toys. She was excited by the idea of seeing Santa and sitting on his lap. Now what I thought was going to be a 5-10 minute wait turned into 20-30 minutes. Apparently Santa needed to take a much longer break then he was supposed to. Didn't he realize that there were 20 kids and many more frustrated parents waiting on him!
Well finally the man in the red suit showed up and Morgan was excited. She was ready to tell him that she wanted TOYS! So it finally was our turn, I had my picture form filled out and the girls were ready.....I gave Elizabeth to Santa and then went to get Morgan.....as I was turning around to get Morgan she was flipping out at the idea of having to get anywhere near Santa.
They tried to get her to sit with Elizabeth and with me, and even tempted her with candy (as did Santa) but she wouldn't do it. So I got a picture of Elizabeth and Santa. As you can see Elizabeth is less the thrilled, and Santa looks kind of creepy.

Happy Halloween! Well a belated Halloween anyway. Mommy says that we are finally emerging from our sugar coma so it's time to post some Halloween pictures. This is the first year that I actually got to pick what I wanted to be for Halloween. For awhile I kept telling Mommy I wanted to be two years old, but once I caught on to the fact I could dress up like anything I wanted I chose a princess. This decision was mainly because all of my friends at school were going to be princesses, so I had to be one too. Mommy was afraid we wouldn't find an outfit, because she waited until the weekend before Halloween to get one. She made me try a couple on in the store and we finally found the prettiest blue dress! It even had a crown. The day after we bought it, Mommy let me try it on again and I didn't take it off for hours.Well finally the day came and I got to wear the dress to school. We were having a party so I showed up at school wearing my princess dress just like all the other girls. We had so much fun! We got a ton of candy at school and had cookies for snacks. Once Mommy picked me up from school we went home and had a quick dinner and then got ready for trick or treating. Now I knew what to do because last year I brought home a bunch of candy from the neighborhood and I couldn't wait!
But first Mommy and Daddy made me pose by the pumpkins.
Then we had to take a picture in the grass. It was very hard to get a good picture of me, because I just wanted to run around and GET CANDY!
This year even Lizzy dressed up. She wore my bee costume from when I was 1. As you can see she was less then thrilled when she put her costume on. She immediately yanked on the hat and wanted to take it off. She also had a party at school but her costume didn't stay on the whole day. She kept pulling at the hat and the wings. So Miss Tanya and Miss Natalie saved her from going crazy and took it off.
I think Lizzy realized that she might get some candy so she got excited when she went outside in her costume.

We went all through the neighborhood, first I went to a couple of houses with Lizzy, but then she got tired and had to go home. But my friend Miles (who now lives down the street!) came over and we went to lots of houses together. We took turns ringing the door bell. Once I got home I was so tired, but I found the energy to unload my candy and try a few pieces. I think I have enough candy to last quite a while! I can't wait for next year when Elizabeth can trick or treat too! We will get twice as much candy.
Mommy thought it would be fun to show some pictures from last Halloween.
Since she wasn't able to go herself I tried to share some of my candy with her. Mommy said "NO!" but now she loves this picture.

Happy birthday to me....happy birthday to me...happy birthday to meeee....happy birthday to ME!
That's right I am officially one year old! This past Sunday I celebrated my birthday in style with Mommy, daddy and Morgan. No truth be told- I have no idea what a birthday it, but I realized that you get to eat cake, you officially get to eat regular people food, and you get presents! You can't beat that.
Mommy and daddy invited some friends over to help me celebrate my birthday, so their little boy Miles was here to help me celebrate. It's always nice to have a friend over. Daddy grilled hamburgers and Mommy made green beans. I got to eat both things! Granted the pieces were much smaller and I didn't get that much- but hey it's people food! After dinner we had cake. Mommy made me a vanilla cake with pretty icing. It was yellow with orange and blue polka dots. Isn't the cake pretty?
Morgan even helped with the icing!
Mommy had the job of cutting the cake. By this point I was getting slightly impatient. I wanted my cake!
I quickly learned that I LOVE CAKE! Apparently I got a little messy. So after I was done with my cake Mommy gave me a bath. She didn't want me to look like a smurf anymore.
After my bath I got to open my presents. Well I got to watch Morgan and Miles open my presents. I wasn't too interested. Thankfully my sister was and made sure all my presents were opened.
I got some really cute outfits, a wind up boat for the bathtub, an alphabet pal and a Cabbage Patch Doll. I like my new toys- especially when I get to play with them. So far Morgan has been showing me how to play with them. She does get in trouble though and she is reminded that they are MY TOYS! Lucky for Morgan I am a nice sister and I will share with her. Hopefully one day she will return the favor.

This past weekend Mommy and Daddy took us to Brown County for a couple of days. Thanks to Daddy's Aunt Kathy we were able to get a weekend reservation at the Abe Martin Lodge in the heart of the park. Daddy used to stay here when he was a kid! We headed out on Sunday and made the hour long drive to the cabin. Elizabeth and I fell asleep and woke up in the lodge parking lot so we didn't mind the drive too much. Mommy forgot to take a picture of the cabin so we found this on on the Internet!

The cabin was really nice. It was tucked back into the woods and had a big front and back porch. The inside even had a wooden stove- but Mommy and Daddy would only make a fire after we had gone to bed, because we liked to touch it a lot. The cabin had so much room that we got to bring our friend Noah and his mommy and daddy along.
While we were in Brown County I got to ride a pony! Once I heard ponies were in the park I kept asking Mommy and Daddy if I could ride one, and finally Daddy took me. It was so much fun!
I also got to play in the indoor water park at the lodge. They had a regular pool, a kiddie pool with spray jets, a small lazy river and a water slide! I got brave and went down the water slide with Mommy. The first time I got really scared when I hit the water, but I went another 5 or 6 times before we left. It was so much fun! Noah and I had the whole pool ourselves. Elizabeth missed all of this because she was taking a nap. Good thing I don't take naps!
Daddy and Elizabeth did go on a hike while I was playing though. Kate and Seth (Noah's Mommy and Daddy) brought this really neat backpack for kids. Daddy loaded Elizabeth in it and went hiking. Elizabeth looked a little worried, but must have liked it because by the time they got back to the cabin she was asleep.

Well it finally happened....I got the call from daycare that every parent never wants to get. Miss Julie at daycare called me at work the other day to tell me that Morgan fell. Apparently all of the kids were being normal 3 and 4 year olds and were running around. While they were supposed to be picking up their chairs to get ready for nap time, they decided to run around them and be crazy. Miss Julie told the kids to stop running or someone was going to fall and get hurt. Immediately Miss Morgan turned to her and said "No we won't!" So what happened not more then five minutes later.....you guessed it! Morgan tripped and fell. The chair broke her fall and gave her a wonderful black eye!
She ended up visiting the doctor's office that day to make sure no damage was done. And left the office with some ointment for a cut (from the fall). She and daddy then went to the mall for some ice cream.
She was quite the talk at daycare the next day. When I dropped her off all the little kids came up to me to tell me that Morgan fell and hit the chair. They were glad to see her, and Morgan didn't seem to mind her temporary look. The downside of all of this (besides poor Morgan getting a huge black-eye) was that I was just getting ready to get new pictures taken. On a side note- Miss Julie at daycare said that Morgan was really mad at the chair. I would be too!
